Jenn Boshes has been in the beauty industry since the age of 16 when she started behind a makeup counter in her native state of New Hampshire. After receiving a Bachelor’s of Science degree in marketing and advertising, Jenn moved to Manhattan to pursue her dream of becoming a retail buyer. Like many people — once the dream was fulfilled — she realized that she missed the connection she felt in helping people to feel good about themselves. So, she made the leap and moved to Boston the year after 9/11, where she revamped her career by becoming an esthetician. 

Early in Jenn’s career, she felt a deep calling to gain as much knowledge of skin health as she could. She would continually take class after class to not only have a better understanding of skin science but to impart her knowledge on her clients and estheticians. As a result, Jenn incorporates into her practice her proficient knowledge of skin science and nutrition, a deep love of skincare, and a strong desire to help others feel their very best. Beauty, health, and wellness are the cornerstones of Jenn’s work, and she is trained in cosmetic chemistry and the “Pastiche Method®” of skin analysis under Florence Barrett-Hill, an internationally respected aesthetic technical educator, practitioner, researcher, and author with extensive experience in all aspects of professional aesthetic therapy and paramedical skincare.

Jenn’s deeply curious spirit has fostered a love of all things metaphysical. As a result, she earned her health coaching certificate at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is also on her way to becoming a certified Reiki master. Most recently, Jenn has become trained in the art of intraoral massage which helps to decrease tension and plump the skin and, in December 2022, she was named a U.S. skincare ambassador for Environ. With these teachings, Jenn incorporates her love of skin science and nutrition with the finest skincare products in the world, to accomplish her goal of helping others feel their very best. 

Beauty Mark is a family business. Jenn and her husband Orion have worked diligently together to create a company that provides inspiration to their team, their clients, and their children. Jenn highly recommends to everyone that she meets: find that spark — find what you love to do — and take the leap to get there.

Vanessa’s extensive training in both make-up artistry and advanced skincare elevate her as one of the most sought-after estheticians in the state.

A Maine native, Vanessa graduated from the International School of Skin in 2000, and later studied postgraduate advanced esthetics at the International Dermal Institute. Vanessa’s continued education has earned her certifications with both Environ and Biologique Recherche, ranging from advanced peels to microdermabrasion to microcurrent treatments, and beyond.

Vanessa parallels her skincare expertise with an extensive proficiency at makeup artistry. Having studied under Bobbi Brown, and also as a freelance makeup artist for several major lines, including Tom Ford, Chantecaille and Le Metier, Vanessa helps women to feel both confident and radiant in their skin. Vanessa is passionate about both skincare and skin health, and is excited to provide her clients with a personalized results-driven treatment plan.

After time in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Hawaii, Vanessa joined the team in 2016, and is delighted to be back in Maine with Beauty Mark.

Kristyn began working as Beauty Mark's Spa Coordinator while completing Esthetics school. After graduating, Kristyn has spent the last few years as a mentee under Jenn Ross-Boshes and the Beauty Mark team. Kristyn has amassed in-depth, hands-on training from the most respected brands of skincare in the world, including Biologique Recherche and Environ.

After graduating from the University of Maine Orono with a degree in Communication Disorders, Kristyn altered her career path in pursuit of her lifelong passion: skincare.

Kristyn has greatly improved the health of her own skin with a powerful at-home routine, regular facials, and a gut-healthy lifestyle. Products that have made the biggest impact on her skin include the Radiance line from Environ.

Kristyn is looking forward to sharing her adoration for skin health with clients and knows the difference a consistent home routine and regular facials can make. She loves hand-selecting products and hopes to inspire clients to prioritize skincare as self-care. In her free time, Kristyn loves to be active outdoors and cook gut healthy meals, cultivating radiance from the inside-out.

Brooke loves all things skin and has small town roots as she grew up on a beautiful lake in northern Maine.

Brooke began her career as an esthetician at Jessica Johnson Beauty, where she fell in love with the science behind skin. She learned a lot from a great mentor and has grown tremendously as an esthetician.

From there, she ventured into medical esthetics and learned about skin from a different perspective.

Brooke is now an amazing and well-loved part of the Beauty Mark team where she is taking part in frequent trainings with our favorite brands as well as studying even more esthetic techniques and methodology.

Brooke believes in taking care of herself from the inside out as she loves nutrition and taking care of body and mind. She enjoys yoga, meditation and taking walks with her dog Pearl and fiancé Ryan.

Maureen is originally from Pennsylvania and studied Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She moved to Maine in 2013 and quickly fell in love with Portland.

Learning about health and wellness has always been a passion of hers, and this—of course—includes skincare!

Being a part of the Beauty Mark team aligns beautifully with her passion for wellness, and Maureen loves gaining knowledge from the best around, and getting to know Beauty Mark clients!

Outside of Beauty Mark, Maureen enjoys the Maine coast, WMPG, boxing, surfing, and taking care of her kitties.
